“There are people who have money and people who are rich.” -Coco Chanel
Elias Ghribi is a fashion photographer living in Minneapolis who takes pictures of his friends with his Canon AE-1 program film camera. His aesthetic vision is primarily influenced by French haute couture fashion houses in the 1950s, like Chanel and Dior. His political vision is to address issues of beauty standards and how they apply to the trans community. He wants to get rid of the notion that only rich white cisgendered heterosexual people have the ability to feel and act extravagant.
